This review is from: Giro Aeon Road Bike Helmet (Sports) This helmet fits great and flows tons of air. I ride in South Carolina where summer temps are routinely in the mid to high 90's with 60% to 70% relative humidity. I can honestly say that after riding two hours plus I have forgotten the helmet was on! On top of the comfor factor, you can actually adjust the headband easily while riding. This level of comfort is well worth the price. This review is from: Giro Aeon Road Bike Helmet (Sports) I tried many helmets and the Giro Aeon is the best I have ever found. It fits great with many adjustments. It's light (222 grams in medium), comfortable, and well ventilated. The workmanship is excellent, with quality straps and removable padding that can go through a washing machine. I'm on my second Aeon, the first one having done its job in a major crash, with the helmet staying firmly in place and absorbing the blow when my head hit the pavement. The Giro Aeon may cost a bit more than other helmets, but it is well worth the price. I encourage anyone considering a Giro Aeon to check the fit and measure carefully. I wear a large in most other helmets, but the Aeon medium fits perfectly. It is super light; I barely notice it is on my head. The venting is superb, we have been getting clobbered with 100 plus degree days in the NJ and this helmet has kept me cool during my rides. I'm convinced the venting keeps me cooler than if I were wearing no helmet at all, which I will not do, even for testing purposes. However, the way the vents are cut makes it feel like you have ceiling fan above your head. I am basically trying to say that the helmet is very lightweight and the venting is great. The new material used for the straps makes a huge difference in comfort. They are super lightweight and feel really good against my face and chin, I hardly notice they're there as well. The RocLoc 5 system is a vast improvement over the older systems. It lets you micro dial-in the tension adjustments. Overall I could not be more pleased with this purchase.
